DEFINITION: The Office of the City Attorney provides legal counseling
and advice to the Mayor, City Commissioners, City Agencies, Departments
and Boards. The office prepares ordinances and resolutions, reviews
and/or prepares legal instruments to which the City is a party, represents
the City in contract negotiations, litigation matters and settlements,
and monitors the representation of the City in matters where outside
legal counsel is used.
SALARY: $65,270 - $97,905 Annually (Pay Grade 68)

and City contribution to a 401(a) pension plan.
QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from an accredited law school, and a
minimum of four years of progressively responsible experience in labor
and employment law. Direct experience shall include labor and employment
litigation in State and Federal courts, civil service, collective bargaining,
Section 1983, American with Disability Act and related labor and employment
areas. Municipal government experience preferred, but not required.
Membership in good standing in the Florida Bar is required, (or Admission
